These patches extend Snort to add OS fingerprinting capabilities and were
written by Stephen Reed <sdreed at verizon dot net>.  

The short instructions:

1. Download a version of Snort for which the patch is available.

2. Download the appropriate patch and apply it:

   tar xfz snort-<version>.tar.gz 
   cd snort-<version>
   patch -p1 < <path to patch>
   
3. After applying the patch there should be a README.fp file in the doc
   directory.  Read it for more info.  You can also download this file 	
   separately if you wish.


NOTE:  The ACID patch is not included in the patch for Snort 2.3.0 like 
       it is for the other two patches.  Download ACID-0.9.6b21fp.patch
       separately.
